Gus worked for IBM from 1972 until he retired in 2009. He held various sales and customer related positions through his 37 year career there and was one of IBM’s most successful account managers. As an executive, he was responsible for the customer relationship and satisfaction of IBM’s largest accounts in Financial Services. When he retired, he was a Managing Director with global responsibility for the Citigroup relationship in 132 countries.

After retiring, Gus worked on training IBM sales teams in Vietnam, travelling back and forth each quarter for the next two years. He has also works with the Insight Group providing advice to firms on the subject of Account Management. He has taught a course on this subject at Pace University’s business school and has guest lectured at Columbia University for the past ten years. He is the co-author of “Customers Win … Suppliers Win”, an acclaimed textbook with great insights on global account management.

Gus volunteers his time at the Fortune Society, an organization helping people recently released from prison re-establish their lives on the “outside”. He has worked at Fortune since 2014.

Gus has a BS degree from CCNY and an MBA from Pace. He served in the US Army from 1967 to 1969. He and Linda have three sons and four grandsons living in Denver, Munich Germany and Arlington Virginia.
